(Hartford) Up at 8.15. Johnny off at 6 to New Britain. Back at 8.10. Rainy morning. Johnny with me to New Haven. Met Marsh there. Wrote four letters and a telegram on Hartford road. Reached New York at 5.15. Rode to Bible House to see Tyler. Thence to Jersey City ferry and off by 6pm train for Phila. Wrote to Fred and read on cars. At Phila at 10pm. Off for Germantown by 11pm train. Stopped at Kingsbury's. Had lunch. Retired at 1.30.
