(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Bright warm day. Looked over sermon. Twichell called. Pleasant morning, worship with Spaulding & wife and Fred present. Out to church at 10.40. Preached Easter sermon for Twichell from Ps 46:2. Early dinner. Spaulding went with Johnny. Fred went with me to So. Congl. Ch. Followed Mr. Parker there in talk about Easter joys. Walked back with Fred. Very tired. After brief rest, walked with Fred & Johnny out to Camps. Talked and prayed with Mrs. Camp. Back to house for evening. Again had worship. Fred went to call at Tryon's. Talked with Spaulding. Retired at 10.30.
