(Hartford) Up at 5.15. Off at 6.10 for Norwich. Johnny met me at depot. Mr. Nott on cars. Had talk as to Episcopal church. Read Ginx's Baby. At Norwich at 8.45. Called at Lanman & Levin's store. Thence to Lock Factory. Met Fred & Gen. Aiken. Off with Fred at 10.30 for New London. Called at Savings Bank. Joshua C. Learned at Troy. Mr. Haven out of town. Called at Learned's home, and 2nd Cong. Ch. and dined at Metropolitan Hotel. Off for home at 2.45. McManus on cars. Took fish & clams with me. At Willimantic wrote up diary. Home at 6.15. Rode home in rain. Down to Allyn House. Met H. P. Haven. Called at post-office. Retired at 11.30. Sent one S.S. telegram.
