(Hartford) Up at 8. Downtown in forenoon with Johnny. Called on Miss Gwen. Talked Roman Catholic question with her. Johnny started for Springfield by 2pm train but missed it. Sent seven S.S. letters and three others. Downtown marketing. Johnny went to teachers' meeting in evening. Bought congress water. Retired at 10.40.
