(Providence, R.I.) Up at 6. Bright day. Off at 7.30 for New Haven. Giles Babcok, Rev. Mr. Dean, & Rev. Mr. Prince on cars. Stopped at New London an hour. Called on Mr. Haven. Off at 11.20. at New Haven, dined at New Haven House. Called at C. S. Bushnell's. He subscribed $1000 to Am. S.S. Union work. Met Bradley. Called at North's. Left Kingsbury. Off for home by 3.15 train. At home at 5. New fence being put up. Johnny overseeing it nicely. Downtown with him in evening. Retired at 11. Sent four S.S. letters and one other.
