(Hartford) Up at 7.15. Downtown before noon. Wrote four S.S. letters and one other. Off at noon for Boston. Johnny with me. Dined at Massasoit. Worked on revision of essay all the way to Boston. Shute not in his office on our arrival. Stopped at Parker's to tea. Out to Clarendon St. Bap. Ch. in evening to attend Bap. S.S. Institute. Met Peltz, Pratt, Evans, and others there. Read essay on S.S. Teaching. Dr. Gardiner spoke on Bible Geography. Home with Pratt for night. Johnny with me. Retired at 11.30.
