Monday, March 6, 1871

(Boston) Up at 6.50. After breakfast talked with Mr. Sterns about S.S. Union work. At 8.30 called on C. C. Coffing 74 Waltham St. to talk about Northern Pacific R.R. evangelization. Down to Winter Street. Called at Noyes', Robert Roos', Office Unitarian Association. B. W. Williams', Am. Tract Society, Christ. Mn. rooms, Unit. S.S. Union rooms, Mr. Sweetzer's, etc. Met Rev. B. G. Snow & Col. Lee at Shute's. Dined at Parker's. Off at 3pm for home. Wrote up diary. Johnny met me at Hartford at 7.20. Passed pleasant hour with family over bed-room. Retired at 10.30.
