(New Britain) Up at 7.30. After breakfast called at State Normal School to examine library for works on Object Teaching. Thence to Mr. Camp's school to examine his library. Over to Berlin, and home, by noon express train. Very tired. Napped it, after dinner. At 4pm commenced writing. Wrote until 9. Rainy day and evening. Johnny went down to post-office in evening at 8.45, back at 9.30. Retired at 10.30. Sent nineteen S.S. letters.
