(Hartford) Up at 8.10. Downtown with Johnny after breakfast. Called at Courant office. Sent two S.S. letters. Balanced cash. Bill sent to me from E. Phelps. Called at Father's. Called twice at Bromley's. Had talk with him about Grand and Summer. Called with Johnny at depot at 11.15am and at 6.15pm, expecting his mother. She did not come. Wrote on letter to Fred in evening. Retired at 10.45. Bought ticket with Johnny at Jacob's agency in early evening.
