(Hartford) Up at 9.30. Bright day. Dr. Hunt called. Head aching. Wrote, and read letters and papers and prepared draft of circular appeal, for Record and Marsh. Downtown at 3.30. Called at post-office, Williams & House's, Viera's, Case, Lockwood & Co.'s, Pease's, Peckham's, and at Johnny's room. Met Dr. Newton. Annie Slosson called. Sophy & May went to Hurlburt's to party. Alice called at Mrs. Crane's. Mr. Denison called with D'Aubigne's History. Wrote certificate for it. Took bath. Retired at 11.30.
