(Hartford) Up at 8.30. Wrote letters. Downtown with Johnny to printers, post-office, etc. Off at noon for New Haven. Called at Jarman's & North's. Out to Lincoln School to see Mr. Root. With him to his hom. Called at Rec. E. L. Clark's. Suppsed at Malley's & Blair's. Met Twichell. With him to Clarks'. Off for home at 7.35. Met O. H. Platt on cars. Home at 9.30. Found G. S. K. Legaré and Marsh there. Sat until 11.30 with them. Retired at 12.20.
