(Hartford) Raining hard. Up at 8.15. Wrote at home, and arranged papers on desk all forenoon. Downtown. Left slippers, umbrellas and brackets to be attended to. Bought card for pictures. Called at Theological Seminary to see Prof. Thompson about S.S. matters. Received letter from Frank Allen & photograph from Fred. Took tea with Alice at Father's. Sent fifteen S.S. letters. Downtown in evening. Bought stationery. Retired at 11, after long talk with Alice concerning Johnny.
