(Hartford) Slept until 9.15. McLunie & Son called to see about grounds. Agreed with him for grading and arranging of grounds. Commenced anew on sermon on Light. Wrote letters. Downtown before dinner. Obtained amount of Pearl St. church collection. Paid Geo. Robinson's bill. In afternoon downtown again. Met Mr. Burton. In evening down to Park Church. Took part in service there. Thence with T. W. Russell to Morgan St. Chapel to attend 2nd anniversary of 6th Ward Temp. Society. Spoke there. Alice returned from Park Church with Mr. Chamberlain. Home at 11.30. Retired at 12. Sent five S.S. letters and two others.
