(Hartford) Up at 7.30. Cloudy morning. Wrote letters. Wrote on sermon, again. At 12.20 off for Springfield. Dined at Massasoit. Off at 1.45 for Mr. Tom Station. Walter Camp met me there. Rode with him to Northampton by river road. Called at Bridgeman's. Met Gen. Otis. Rode to East Hampton. At Dr. Seelye's worked on sermon. After tea, called on Mr. Wright. Wrote again on sermon. At 8.30 me Mr. Wright in committee of alumni Association. Arranged for request to Trustees for general catalogue of Seminary. Called at Walter Camp's room. Mr & Misses Barry of Boston. At Dr. Seelye's at 9.15. Wrote on sermon. Finished it at 11. Retired at 11.30.
