(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Warm day. Downtown with Fred to order his clothing from Kelsey's. Called at Fessenden's. Paid life insurance premium. Met E. Phelps and talked about gates. Bought brackets for Johnny's room. Put them in place, before dinner. After dinner rested. Called at Father's. Saw Gurdon's fish picture. Arranged with letter carrier to bring letters henceforth. Downtown with Fred. Had ices at Brigg's. Fred off at 6.20. Balanced cash. Wrote letters. Downtown with Johnny. Had ices again. Met Mrs. Babcock and Allan Francis. Retired at 11. Sent six S.S. letters and one other.
