(East Hampton, Mass.) Up at 7. Bright day. After breakfast, called at Walter's, Hotel, Mr. Knight's. Attended prayers at chapel. Off at 10 for Mr. Tom. Met Mr. Beach and wife on stage. At Springfield at 11.20. Bought eggs and olives. Called on Dea. Dixon. Home at 1. In afternoon, Mr. Van Lennep and son called. Downtown with Johnny. Walked to Colt's willow work factory and back. In evening went with Johnny, Sophy, Annie, and May to Van Lennup's lecture on Turkish customs, at Allyn Hall. Home and retired at 11.15. Sent three S.S. letters.
