(Hartford) Bright day. Up at 7.40. Kebbe's man came to measure for shelves and put up swing. Out in yard with him, with slippers on. He worked most of day in cellar and about yard and house. Worked on hanging pictures in Gallaudet room until 3pm. Made ready for a start for Boston. Downtown with Johnny. At 4.45 met Kate Budd & boys at cars. Returned with them to house. Wrote letters. Off with Johnny at 7 for Springfield. Met Holland at Massasoit. Mr. & Mrs. Barlett on cars. Called at Mrs. Merriam's. Met Bradley, just engaged to May Gray. Sat there until 10. Back to hotel. Talked with Johnny of Convention report, Bible history, etc. Retired at 12. Sent three S.S. letters and telegrams and one other.
