(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Down to State House. Opened House of Representatives with a prayer. Mr. Camp called. Made ready for a start. Off at 1pm for New Haven. Talked wtih Prof. Paine of Bangor. At New Haven called at Bradley's room. Left note for him. Attended Communion service at College St. Church, at close of session of Gen. Assoc. of Conn't. Ordered shirts, bought drawers and gloves. At 5pm met Johnny, & Charley at cars. Johnny had measure taken for shirts. Off with them for S. Norwalk. They kept on to New York. At 8pm married Lt. A. F. Jones & Miss Julia F. St. John. Off at 9.37 for New York. At St. Nicholas at 12. Retired with Johnny.
