(Hartford) Up at 8. Cloudy day. Kept housed all forenoon. Read newspapers and pamphlets. Alice went to church. In afternoon went out to Camps to see Charley. He quite ill with throat trouble. Had evening service with family. Out to Asylum Hill school house in evening. Johnny led the meeting. Spoke on the joy the saint can have on finding himself in temptations. Sophy & May there. Called at Father's with Alice. Talked with Alice about Johnny. Retired at 12.
