(Hartford) Up at 7.40. Beautiful day. Downtown with Johnny. Had talk with him about Morgan St. S.S. picnic. Wrote letters. Down to market again before dinner. Out to Camps with Mr. Camp to see Charley, just back from Westbrook. Off with Charley at 4.10 for Waterbury. Took tea with Kinney. Met Fletcher. Off at 7 for Winsted. Wrote up diary. At Clarke House at 8.40. Took supper with Charley. Called at Wetherly's. Met Kinsdale, Holmes and others. Retired at 11. Sent six S.S. letters and two others.
