(Winsted, Ct.) Up at 7.30. No rain, but cloudy. Mr. Wetherly called. Out with him to make collections for support of Mr. Peters. Walked from point to point for four hours. Secured about $450 - subscriptions. After dinner, Dr. Welsh took Charley to ride. Walked again with Mr. Wetherly collecting. Secured in all, for day, subscriptions for $507. Wrote up diary after tea. Mr. Wetherly called. Out to buy Charley strawberries. Called on H. W. Terry. Read to Charley. Retired at 10.45. Sent two S.S. letters and two others.
