(Phila.) Up at 6.30. Called after breakfast on Henry Fish at Slater's. Thence to Union rooms. Talked over S.S. Union matters with Wurts. Met Mr. Ashhurst & discussed Missouri matters. Visited Gov. Pollock & U.S. Mint. Called on Gen. Gregory & at S.S. Times office. Dined at Continental, after call at Slater's, at 3pm. Visited Independence Hall. In evening, visited velocipede rink. Retired at 10.10.
