(Hartford) Up at 7.55. Bright day. Wrote letter to Congregationalist. Downtown. Called at office of Post, Prescott's, express office, etc. Met Ben. Bowles. Letter from Fred in office at 3pm. Attended at rooms of Y.M.C.A., a meeting of gentlemen to talk over a teacher's institute. Wrote letters. downtown in eve'g. Called at office of Post. "Children in the Temple" on sale. Package came to me from Holland. Left copies with Tryon & R. C. Robinson. Packed various things for the next day's start, including book & package for Fred. Retired at 12.20. Sent twenty-six S. S. letters & one other.
