(Meriden) Awoke with severe head-ache. Met Marsh & Fletcher (Up at 8.30) After breakfast called at State Reform school, also at Lt. Otis'. Off for home by noon express. Home at 12.35. Downtown after dinner. Called at post-office & Courant office. Had long talk with Hawley. Home at 5pm. Called at Father's. Wrote on letter to Fred until 8.20. Down to post-office. Home again after call at Father's (finding Alice there). Balanced cash. Took bath. Bought underclothes at Conklin's. Retired at 12.15. Sent one S. S. letter.
