(Hartford) Up at 7.45. Wrote Baker. Sent letter to Allibone. Off for Spring'd at 9.40. Wrote Kinsley on cars. Called at Holland's. Met Marsh. Dined at Massasoit. Off with Port & Marsh at 2pm for Mt. Tom station. Met Mr. Douglass of Brattleboro & Rev. Mr. Lane of Whatley. Rode from Mt. Tom to East Hampton. Called at Dr. Seelye's, at Dr. Henshaw's, and at Mr. Williston's. Had talk with Mr. W. about legacy to Am. S. S. Union. back to Dr. Seelye's. Again to Dr. Henshaw's. Took tea at Dr. S's. Wrote Fred in evening. Looked over sermon. Retired at Dr. Seelye's at 10.15.
