(Roxbury, Mass.) Up at 7.30. Rainy day. Walked with young Goodman to Fremont St. crossing. Met Shute there. Rode to Jamaica Plain. Called on Rev. A. J. Gordon there. Preached for him from P. 27:10. Dined with Gordon. After dinner walked to Roxbury. Attended S. S. of Eliot Ch. Addressed infant department. In afternoon preached for Rev. Dr. Thompson from Mk. 1:37. Went home with Goodman to tea. In early eve'g addressed S. S. Concert of Eliot Ch. Rode thence to Harvard St. Ch. S. S. of Boston. Addressed S. S. Concert there. Met J. M. Williams and others. Rode with Mr. Warren to Jamaica Plain. Passed evening & night there. Wrote awhile. Retired at 12.30.
