(West Winsted) Up at 7.40. After breakfast read sermon over. Called at Rockwell's. At 10.30 preached at 2d. Cong. Ch. from Gal 6:7. At noon addressed S. S. Main and infant departments. After lunch, preached in church from II Kings II.21. Peters also spoke. After dinner at Mr. Wetherley's, rode to Danbury Quarter with Mr. Holmes. Spoke there from Matt. 26:56 Talked with young Cook after service. Back to Winsted. Talked with Mr. Wetherby & Mr. Peters until 10.30. Wrote until 12.20. Retired at 12.30.
