(Philadelphia) Up at 7.30. Breakfasted with Ned & Susy. Attended meeting of Com'e on Missions at 9.30. Sat with them until noon. Edw'd Kimball called. Rec'd fine letter from Fred. Called at S. S. Times office. Dined at Continental. Wrote Fred. Out to W. Phila. to Alfred Taylor's to tea. Back to Geo. H. Stuart's. Wrote awhile at Cont'l Hotel. Off for New York at midnight. Turbulent and queer passengers. Little sleep.
