(Claverack, N.Y.) Up at 6.50 with headache. Snowing briskly. After breakfast attended prayers in Chapel of Institute. Had talk with Col. Jones. Off at 9.20 for Chatham. Wrote to Fred. From Chatham to Springfield. Train delayed by snow. Reached Springd at 2.15. Dined at Massasoit. Called at Holland's. Met Chas. Marsh in street. He gave me $25 for writing "S. S. Expenses". Called at Dr. Buckingham's. Home by 5.10pm train. Met Dr. Ellsworth on cars. Called at Father's in evening. Geo. Langdon called at house. Read to Alice. Retired at 11.15. Sent letters (seventeen) to S. S. missionaries from Sp'd.
