(Hartford) Up at 8.20. Worked on sermon for young men. Wrote letters. Miss. Gallaudet & Kitty & Grace went off for Washington at noon. Alice with us at the cars. Downtown. Called at Ruggles' store, post-office, etc. Sent off ten S. S. letters. Prime & Mary took tea with us. Showed them engravings. Wrote on sermon and on letter to Fred. Read sermon on Seed Sowing to Alice. Retired at 11. Furniture came from Gray.
