(Barrington, Mass.) Up at 7.30. Bright day. Prepared notes for morning address. Preached at Cong'l Ch. at forenoon service from Luke 18:17. Addressed S. S. at noon. Lunched at Mr. Scudder's. Off with Mr. Russell to Stockbridge at 12.30. Cold ride over hills. At Stockbridge heard of Mrs. French's death. Stopped at G. Reid's. Addressed Union S. S. meeting at Cong'l Ch. in afternoon. Met young men at Edwards Place school room at 4, and addressed them. After tea went to Library Hall. Preached sermon to boys from I Ki. 2:2. Returning to Reid's heard boys sing. Addressed them again at 9.30. Talked with Mr. & Mrs. Reid. Wrote Fred. Retired at 12.30.
