(Hartford) Up at 8.35. Off at 9.40 for Springfield. Wrote on cars. Called at Holland's. Back by noon express train to Hartford. Downtown after dinner. Telegraphed Pratt & Parker House. Called at Prescott's. Sent off twenty-eight S. S. letters, two telegrams, and a letter to Fred. Called at Father's. Off at 7.15 for Boston. Met Holland & Marsh at Springfield. Holland rode with met to Boston. Reached Parker House & retired at 12.50.
