(New York) Up at 7. Snowing. Off after early breakfast for downtown. At Devlin's before 9. Wrote awhile there until Mr. Ogden came in. Had coat repaired. Called at 599 Bdway. Met Mr McCullagh. Had hair cut at Thatford's. Off for Phila at 12.30. Met H. W. Chatfield on cars. Wrote & read awhile. Reached 1122 Chestnut St at 5pm. Called with Mr. Wurts on Mr. Thacker. Dined at Continental at 5.30. Rev. Dr. Marsh called. Wrote again, in room. Met Yale student or alumnus at supper. Wrote up diary. Retired, after writing on letter awhile, at 11. Sent letter to Mr. Camp & two S. S. letters.
