(Hartford) Up at 8.10. Bright day. Mother called. Wrote several letters. Downtown. Called at Courant office. Called on Mrs. Draper and arranged for Sophy to commence school there. Sent off four S. S. letters and two others. Downtown again before tea. Wrote on sermon in afternoon and evening. Read on sermon to Alice in evening. Retired at 11.50.
