(Boston) Up at 7.30. Breakfasted with Holland. Called with him at die-sinker's and at Shute's. Later, called at Pratt's, Kinsley's & elsewhere. Proctor called at Shute's, also Jacob's. Worked on changes for book. Wrote Fred. Off for Salem at 5.40pm. Met Capt. Hayward. Took supper at Mr. Osgood's. Attended prayer-meeting at Tabernacle Church chapel. Wrote in room awhile. Retired at 12.15.
