(Phila) Up at 7.45. After breakfast out to Union rooms with Mr. Kingsbury. Long letter from Gray. Dr. March called on me to go with him to minister's meeting. Attended that. Met Rev. S. W. Duffield there. He gave me his book. Back to Union rooms & the S. S. Time's offices. Sent letters to Fred & Gray. Met McCullagh. Called on Mr. Allibone & on Dr. Newton. Out with Mr. Kingsbury to his house for dinner. Back to 10th St & Clinton & preached for Dr. Marsh from Matt. 22:37 & 38 in evening. Thence to Mr. Kingsbury's house. Sat talking until 11pm. Retired at 11.30. Send letter to Record.
