(Hartford) Cold morning again. Wrote up diary. Tryon called. Wrote letters all forenoon. After dinner downtown. Called at Bk., Bromley's, post-office, etc. Letters from Gray & Fred. Attended at Pearl St. Church to see as to delegates to State S. S. Convention. Home at 5. Sent off seven S. S. letters & three others. Called at Father's. Down to Pearl St. Ch. in eve'g at first session of Convention. Dr. Bushnell preached on How To Teach God. Trouble about delegates. Lack of accommodations for them. Walked up with Dana & Twichell. Retired at 12.
