(Hartford) Up at 9.50. Sleet storm. Uncomfortable day. Looked over papers. Wrote letters. Sent Mr. Fletcher to Winsted. Downtown to Bank and again to post-office before tea. Took tea at Father's. Talked with Alice. Retired at 10.30, very tired. Sent off thirteen S. S. letters. Thunder storm in evening.
