Monday, March 15, 1869

(New London, Ct.) Up at 7.15. Rainy morning. Wrote up diary. Wrote on letter to Fred. Out to Dr. Sheffield's. Called at Bacon's Hotel to see man whose wife was killed by cars. Thence to R. R. office. Secured pass for him & friends. Out with Dr. Sheffield to his house to dinner. Thence to Mr. Haven's & to Military Hall. Sharp talk with Mr. Woodworth as to Convention. Met Mr. Crump in book-store. Bought fish. Wrote awhile at house. Sent two letters. In evening attended Reunion of S. S. teachers at Military Hall. Addressed them answering questions. Back to Learned's at 10.45. Wrote to young Brown - son of Capt. John of M. Star. Retired at 12.30.
