(New London, Ct.) Up at 6.40. Bright day. Off for home at 8. Met Col. Rodman on cars. Joshua Lownes & Horace on cars. Wrote up diary. Met Rev. Nelson, Davenport, Grosvenor, & Dirott on cars. Herbert Buffington & others. Wrote awhile. Reached home at 11.30. Allie not well. Called at Father's. Sent five S. S. letters and five others. Downtown before tea. In evening wrote on letters to The Advance. Took bath. Retired at 12.30.
