(Hartford) Up at 8.10. Wrote on sermon. Rogers of Co. H called, also Dr. Hunt & father. Off for Winsted at 11.30. Wrote on sermon on cars. At Waterbury dined at Scovill House. Wrote in depot. Waited for freight train until 4.30. Decided then to wait for passenger train. Called at A. F. Abbott's & wrote. Off at 7.45 for Winsted. Met W. F. Peters on cars. At Winsted stopped at Wetherby's. Peters at hotel. Wrote on sermon until 11.50. Retired at 12. Sent one S. S. letter and one other.
