(Hartford, Ct.) Up at 6.35. Bright day. Off at 8.10 for New York. Met Dr. Newton at depot. Wrote W. C. Chapin. At New Haven met Gen. Greeley & Capt. Hudson (6th C.V.) & wife. At New York, met Wilder at 8 Bible House. Talked with Tyler about Chicago & St. Louis. Spoke at Olivet chapel 2nd St. at 2.30opm. Rode to 42nd St. meeting clouds. Anniversary exercise of S.S. Union in different churches. Down to Devlin's. Let at 5 for Newark. There called at Dr. Fish's. Thence, accompanied by Fred Fish, to Phila at 7pm. Reached Continental at 10.50pm. Retired at 12.15. Sent one S.S. letter.
