(Hartford, Ct.) Up at 8. Downtown. Paid Thompson & Hussey's bill. Wrote eleven S.S. letters and six others. After dinner called at H. L. Porter's to see Rev. Dr. Childs. Also at Post-office. Letter from Fred. Called at Father's. Met Joe Hawley. Building on Main St. fell down. Went down to see it. In evening left by 9.40 train for New York, via 11 o'clock boat from New Haven. Wrote Fred awhile on boat. Retired at 12.30. Tel'g Tyler.
