(Newark, N.J.) Up at 6.35, with head-ache. Attended Convention in morning. Dined at Mr. Dorrance's. In aft'n Convention met in sections. Had talks with Record, Eggleston, & others. Attended at Merrell's section. Took tea at Mr. Dorrance's. Attended Convention in evening. Spoke in lower room at overflow meeting. Later, returned to upper room. Back to Mr. Dorrance's. Passed night with Mr. Merrill. Retired, with severe head-ache at 12.15.
