(Newark, N. J.) Awoke with snapping head-ache. Unable to rise until 11 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Condict called. Up to Conv'n in aft'n. Rev. Mr. Tyng spoke. At 5pm met with F.H.T. for dinner. Back to Conv'n at 8pm for closing service. Delightful occasion. Conv'n adjourned at 11pm. Off for New York at 12.15. Reached Astor House at 12.45. Retired at 1.10. Mr & Mrs. Douglass on cars and at Astor House.
