(South Dedham) Up at 7.30. Bright day. Head aching sorely. Out at Mr. Boyden's & to Mr. Price's. At 10.20 started for East Walpole. Attended meeting there. Endeavored to organize a S.S. there. Back to So. Dedham for afternoon service. Preached on S.S. theme. Thence at 3.15pm rode with Mr. Morse to Roxbury. Took cars there for Boston. Supped at Parker House. Off at 6.15 with Gove. Claflin for Chelsea. Spoke at 28th Anniv'y of Chestnut St. Cong'l Ch. S.S. Back to Boston with Gov'n C. at Parker House. Wrote awhile to Fred. Retired at 11.15.
