(Boston) Up at 7.15. Bright day. Met Hon. Joseph White at breakfast. Called at Shute's. Thence to Nichol's & Noyes' to see about Dr. Bushnell's sermon. Called on Pratt at Kingsley's, Chapman's, & again at Shute's. Met Proctor. Lunched at Parker's. Again at Chapman's. Off at 3pm for home. Met Rev. Mr. Jones on cars. Wrote Gray. Home at 7.20, having supped at Massasoit. Called at Father's. Slosson & Annie there. Walked out to Twichell's. Wrote awhile on letter to Fred. Retired at 11.15. Sent two S.S. letters.
