(Cincinnati, Ohio) Up at 8.05. Very hot day. Wore white suit. After breakfast with Maj. Stryker. Went to 2nd Presb'n Ch. with Fred & Mr. Densmore. Heard Rev. Mr. Robinson preach on Christ as the Tree Vine. Dined with Greeleys, Stryker, etc. Read to Fred in Bickersteith's poem. Out to Bethel Mission school at 2.45pm. Taught class & spoke there. Read again in room, in poem. Fred napped it. Thunder showers at noon and night. Wrote Alice, children, & Gray. Retired at 10.40.
