(Cincinnati, Ohio) Up, half sick at 8. Off without breakfast at 9.15 for depot. Took coffee and sandwich at depot. Met Conductor W. M. Russell. Rainy day. Stook up much of time for first hour or two of ride. Wrote letter to Post, also to Bromley, Alice, & Mrs. Merriam. Dined at Xenia, and supped at Westline. Met Rev. Dr. Caufield. Reached Cleveland at 9.30. Went to Kennard House. Met Judson Root & Maj. Stryker. Fred wrote in diary in room until late. Retired at 1am.
