(Louisville, Ky) Up at 7.55. Hot day. After breakfast walked to Bulkley's. Met McCullagh. Talked with him of his plans for Sabbath. Took strawberries & cream. Went to post-office. Returned to hotel. Heard of Henry J. Raymond's death. Tel'd Geo. Cooley 41 W. 4th St. Cincinnati. McCullagh dined with us. Off at 2.15 for Cincinnati via Seymour, Ind. Wrote Alice, McCullagh, Ned, Galt House Proprietors & D. B. Nelson. Stopped at Seymour for tea. Off in parlor car for Cincinnati. Fast running on train. Half sick. Reached Burnet House about 9.30. Took bath. Retired at 10.45.
